MJI runs Specialised Courses for working journalists who are looking to improve their skills or learn new skills.
These courses include Video Journalism, MOJO (mobile Journalism), TV and Video Presenting, Video Editing, Online
Digital Journalism, and Investigative Financial Journalism.
The courses are run at the Myanmar Journalism Institute where our premises include two training rooms, a video and radio studio, a video editing suite and control room, and full audio, video and digital equipment.
Courses include 6-10 days of face to face teaching (spread out over two weekends) and 4-6 weeks of E-Learning in between with exercises and feedback from trainers online.
These courses involve our specially trained MJI local trainers and often involve international guest trainers. They are run at various times during the year with limited participant numbers to ensure each person in the course get hands on one-on-one training and feedback, please contact us to find out what courses are currently available.
Selection of students is based on a variety of criteria including personal aptitude, ethnicity and gender balance.
